MEET MABOSHE MEMORIAL CENTRE (MMC) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Patrick Maboshe founded the Maboshe Memorial Centre (MMC) on the 24th November, 2006 has a tax-exempted girl child sponsorship not-for-profit making community development organization with no religious or political affiliations in memories of his late father Dr. Rodney Aongola Maboshe in Mongu, Western, Zambia and registered under the laws of Zambia, focusing on helping disabled, orphans and vulnerable girls from poverty stricken families with clean safe Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), community shelter, economic empowerment, legal aid, sexual reproductive health rights, HIV prevention, vocational and education sponsorships (primary, secondary & tertiary).

He founded the Maboshe Memorial Centre (MMC) because of the passion both him and his father were born to serve marginalized communities mostly disabled, orphans and vulnerable girls from poverty stricken families. What intrigues most about my work is seeing disabled, orphans and vulnerable girls from poverty stricken families transform for better due to access to clean safe Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), community shelter, economic empowerment, legal aid, sexual reproductive health rights, HIV prevention, vocational and education sponsorships (primary, secondary & tertiary).

Patrick Maboshe has a Grade 12, Secondary Certificate, Sefula UCZ Mission School, Diploma Certificate in Social Work: The University of Zambia, Bachelor Degree in Activity & Project Management, The Madonna University, Diploma Certificate in Rural Development Management, The National Institute of Rural Development of India, Advanced Diploma in Business Project Management, The University of Cape Town, Certificate of participation in Professional HIV/AIDS Training of Trainers, National Drivers Association of Zambia, Certificate of participation in Mural Project, 80:20, Certificate of completion in Research Training, Treatment Advocacy Literacy Campaign (TALC), Certificate of attendance in 3rd Stop TB Partners Forum (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), The Stop TB Partnership & Certificate of trained in Community Home Based and Support.

Before he founded the Maboshe Memorial Centre (MMC), Patrick Maboshe worked with National Drivers Association of Zambia & Treatment Advocacy Literacy Campaign (TALC).

He has been in the NGO Sector for over 13 years now and the journey has been fulfilling. "I was taught hard work from childhood, being honest, living at peace with all mankind, to live within my means and to trust in the Lord at all times."

A perfect day for Patrick Maboshe is one where he has delivered all his daily work targets. He likes reading, watching soccer and farming. In the next 10 years, Patrick Maboshe sees himself retired and managing his own business.
